The Aids Council of NSW website provides various information for GLBTIQ individuals and people living with aids including: safe sex information, health information, resources and links.
The website contains some great information, but navigation the website can take some getting used to.

This is the website for lesbian magazine Cherrie; it includes articles and stories from the magazine.
This site has some good content, but you need to be a member to see some of it!
Coming Out Australia
Coming Out Australia is a community focused website to provide information, resources and interactive activities for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people about "Coming Out".
It is also for heterosexual people who are curious and want to understand more about coming out.
Gay and Lesbian Counselling and Community Services
Gay and Lesbian Telephone Counselling Services and is sponsored by Telstra.
You can call between 7:30pm and 10:00pm.
Has a frequently asked questions page with some very useful information (e.g. coming out, how I know if I am gay or lesbian?). The site was last updated in 2005.
The Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service of NSW
The Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service is a volunteer based organisation that provides free anonymous telephone counselling, coming out groups, smart substance abuse groups, training in communication skills and access to face-to-face counsellors to members of the GLBT communities.
You can call 7 days a week from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby
Provides information on a number of issues regarding gay and lesbian rights.
Again some information is just a good guide for future reference but includes information on current issues and includes a fact sheet for young people.
Lambda's Symbols of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Movements
Lambda has a great page that describes symbols associated with being GLBTIQ and their origins.
A great read - good for seeing the history of symbols connected to being GLBTIQ, it's interesting!
Lawlink - Understanding your legal rights

Lawlink provides easy to understand legal information for gays and lesbians in NSW.
Not a lot of content is youth-specific however the information is a good guide for future reference.
Lemonkind
Provides a variety of information for lesbian women in Australia such as an events calendar, love and sexuality, family and home, arts and culture, money and business, travel and leisure and activism and herstory.
Please note lemonkind is not youth specific and you have to be a member and/or 18+ to view some content.
Lesbian and Gay Anti-Violence Project
This site provides information on anti-gay violence such as preventing and reporting it.
It also contains practical and easy to understand information on anti gay violence, and is simple to navigate.
OzLounge
OzLounge is a social networking site for Australian gay and lesbian youth.
This site is a great idea and it's the only thing like it that I’ve come across; however the community on it is quite small compared to larger sites such as MySpace
PFLAG NSW
PFLAG is a non-profit voluntary organisation whose members have a common goal of keeping families together. PFLAG is here to give help, support and information to families, friends of all gay people.
PFLAG is a very extensive website that provides lots of information for loved ones of gay lesbian individuals and also for gay and lesbian people themselves, this would be a great resource to use after "coming out".
Pink Books
Pink Books lists books and resources for Gays and Lesbians
There a quite a number of books listed specifically for youth, however you cannot do a subject search and finding a suitable book may be difficult.
Pink Mountains
Pink Mountains is mainly an events calendar for GLBTIQ people living in and visiting the Blue Mountains. Also includes information on events at other locations.
This site contains great information on what's on in the Blue Mountains, resources and links; however the events aren't youth specific.
Reach Out!
Reach Out! is a web-based service that inspires young people to help themselves through tough times.
The aim of the service is to improve young people’s mental health and well being by providing support information and referrals in a format that appeals to young people.
Twenty 10
Twenty 10 is an organisation for young (under 26) gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, same-sex attracted and gender-questioning people who are having problems at home or have recently become homeless.
Twenty 10 can help GLBT young people obtain support, safety, choices and opportunities. Twenty10 is a safe place and staff deal with all enquiries in an understanding and confidential manner.
